Things That Happened This Weekend

Besides the wild party Friday night, the body fat percentage win on Saturday, and the great run Sunday morning, here are the things that happened this weekend.

Hubs and I liked Red Star Tavern so much the first time, we went again and took some friends. Food happened.

The most amazing Greek Chicken Sandwich happened (topped with spinach, tomato, goat cheese, tzatziki, black olives, cucumber, and puppy souls). Also, eating that sandwich so fast I forgot to take a picture until it looked like a huge steaming pile happened:

At Gators, my first salad with fruit on top happened.

Note #1: Normally, I hate fruit on salads but today I was feeling saucy. Or fruity, I guess.
Note #2: Raisins and Craisins are not fruit. They are “happiness beans.”

Finding the one thing I will leave my husband for happened:

Try it. You won’t want your husband anymore either. Anyone know where I can find that stuff so I can make it legal? (Oh, and don’t say Trader Joes because we don’t have one here.)

Cake Batter frozen yogurt with Oreos, brownie bites, and cheesecake bites happened. Twice.

Movie watching happened:

Movie ratings at their finest, right there. I think they should do that with all movie posters so we know what were getting into. Oh, and there totally were strings attached.

Reading happened:

Bangs happened:

Asking my husband to take a picture of me happened:

I like how I look like I’m either being drawn into the light or probed.
The third one is the “probed” one. I’m all smiles for that.

Do you like fruit on salads? (I’ll admit, I ate most of the Mandarin oranges seperate from the salad (and dipped them in the hub’s apple vinaigrette). I’m still not used to salads being sweet.)

I love fruit on salads! Had a good one with watermelon and goat cheese recently! Yumz! You look so cute rocking the bangs…I may follow suit girl! Happy 4th to you and the hubs!

Your new bangs make you look like Veronica Mars. 🙂 I like them! Did you finish Divergent? LOVED it!!

  4. 1. Love the bangs!
    2. My new favorite Paula quote: “Raisins and Craisins are not fruit. They are “happiness beans.”
    3. I enjoyed “No Strings Attached” as well. Ashton is a first class cutie patootie 🙂

    • I never thought he was good looking in That 70s Show, but there was definitely something about him in that movie. I told that to my hubs and he immediately asked if his shirt was off in the movie. Heh

  5. LOVING the bangs, they look great on you. Loved Divergent too.

  6. I like the bangs! Have you gone running with them yet? I want to cut mine shorter, but hate when they don’t stay in a pony tail or bobby pins while running.

    • Yes! They are way too short to be annoying yet. But I’ve always put my bangs in a barrette so I never really had a problem. Your hair is already cute. You don’t need bangs. 🙂

  7. I actually love fruit on salads, but only if I’m in the right mood. Sometimes, I want only savory things on there. It just totally depends on the day!

    Love the bangs 🙂

The bangs turned out totally cute! Love them. 🙂 I’m thinking about trimming mine a little more…but I’m not sure if my huge forehead wants to bear that much skin just yet.

Apple vinaigrette, sounds like one of those dressings you want in a flask so you can drink it at your leisure. 🙂

P.S. I started watching Heathers yesterday. HILARIOUS so far. Dependent on my Little C’s teething situation, I will try to wrap that up today.

  9. Lovin’ the bangs….and all that food! Now I’m starving!

  10. Red Star Tavern has a great happy hour, have you been? They have ridiculously cheap drinks & apps!

    • I haven’t done the HH but I did see all their specials, and yes! That was one of the things I loved about that place. I think they need to do something with the outside though, because they always look closed even though they’re open. I think my next HH adventure must be there. 🙂

  11. Love, love, love the bangs. You are a stunner in that first bang picture (in the car) – you look like a model!

And, I’m a fan of fruit on salad. Especially crispy/tart fruit like green apples. Yum.

  12. I’ve never had apple vinaigrette but that sounds to die for. Love the bangs!

  13. I do not like fruit on salads, and in fact want to throw up every time I see Wendy’s chicken berry salad advertised (which is too often!!) I think it is the salad, fruit, and CHICKEN combo that really gets me. Chicken + fruit (excluding tomatoes) do not mix.

  14. That food all looked sooo good.

I LOVE sweet stuff on salad. I also LOVE Greek food in almost any form (except olives). I know you said other funny things, but I got stuck on that 😉

  16. I totally agree that movie posters should look like that (I HATE how ads portray what the marketing studies suggest – NOT usually what the movies are actually about.)

And I am totally in love with tsaziki. Mmmmm… I could pour it on top of chickpeas and call it dinner.
