Picture Perfect Birthday

8:00 am – Woke up to an already fed bunny. It’s the little things.

9:30 am – Me, the treadmill, and my Nook. Walked 2.5 miles.

10:30 am – Crossfit workout (really similar to this deck of cards workout)

Noon – Brought these new babies home. Brooks Ghost 5. Also bought a pair of Saucony Kinvara 3s but they didn’t have my size so they’re on order. It’s time to find the right pair of shoes…again.

1:30 pm – My first shellac manicure. And probably 5th manicure in my lifetime. I don’t think the girl did that great of a job and why can’t they speak English? I know they were talking about me!

I didn’t love the selection of colors and this one turned out a little too neutral for me. I still like it, though.

4:00 pm – The death of me.

4:30 pm – Birthday siesta!

5:45 pm – Second workout of the day (spin) to prepare my body for an onslaught of cupcakes. My nails glowed in the black lights!

8:00 pm – Bestie comes over and I open gifts! The dress I’m wearing is one of them. After seeing the pictures, I will definitely never wear that belt again. (It didn’t come with the dress.)

9:00 pm – Time to go out and celebrate! Downtown Wall Street Plaza.

9:30 pm, 9:45 pm, 10:15 pm, 10:30 pm, …..

Whipped vodka and club soda. But then I switched to sweet tea vodka and club soda, which rocked my pants off. I was wearing no pants because they were rocked off.

Sometime after midnight

After bar hopping downtown and about 10 poorly played games of Erotic Photo Hunt, we caught a cab home. It was a really good birthday. Smile

  1. I LOVE THAT DRESS!!!! So cute. And I need to read Insurgent! I forgot to re-request it after I couldn’t read it in time when I got it from the library. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sounds like it was fabulous. And now it’s the weekend! 🙂

  2. I thought I read you did 3 workouts this day? Tredmill…crossfit and spin! Shazaam. Birthday girl gots it! Very nice day…all your way…all your lovely stuff! And, that dress is hot! The belt is cute, and makes your waist look so dang small! But, ya another outfit for that baby! 🙂 Hope your celebrating is continuing on to the weekend………

  3. Happy belated birthday.

I need to know about this Erotic photo game…for educational purposes and everything.

  4. Looks like you guys had a pretty swanky night out in downtown O-town. Looking good, girlfriend! And I like the belt, but what do I know?

I can’t even tell you how impressed I am with your birthday workouts. Wow. THAT’S how you do a birthday.

  5. I like the shellac, but I feel ya–I thought mine was too neutral, too. But this way, you won’t get sick of it wearing it around for 3 weeks. And the belt is cute so I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Also, how do you not look drunk in pictures? I’m always all, “Hey, let’s get a picture now before I start looking really drunk.” True story.

    PS Still LOL’ing at FF.

  6. Glad you had a great birthday! Naps, cupcakes and drinks are a must.

You look great – love the dress and love your besties dress too!

  8. Birthday siesta- good call! I like your nail color. I’m waiting to get my nails done when my husband comes home. I think I’m going the shellac route. They just look so good! Glad you had a good birthday!*

  9. I love your birthday outfit, and probably your suit as well but that’s a little forward for this phase of our bloggery friendship. So glad you enjoyed your day and your nails look great!

    Happy Birthday!

I had an incident with sweet tea vodka about 2-3 years ago. I’ve never drank it since, although it’s delicious.
